Kimi Raikkonen of McLaren On Pole For Hockenheim Formula One Race

Kimi Raikkonen repeated his 2005 pole position for McLaren at Hockenheim for 2006 with a time of 14.070. Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa took 2nd and third respectively with very close times of 14.205 and 14.569. Ferrari appears to be continuing their strong form.

As for Renault, they had better be running a very heavy fuel load as Giancarlo Fisichella only took fifth on 1m 14.894s and world champion Fernando Alonso qualified in seventh at a time of 1m 15.282s.

Fuel loads are going to be the big question for Sunday. Things look very good for Ferrari and Schumacher being able to close the Championship points gap even more.
